§ 74-10. Enforcement of elevator requirements; fees.

    If the owner fails to supply the certificates as required, the Code Enforcement Officer may have said equipment inspected. The fee for such inspection shall be at the level fixed from time to time by resolution of the Board of Trustees. Such fee shall be paid by the owner of the building.
    B. 
    In the event that an elevator, escalator or dumbwaiter is not inspected as required herein or in the event that such equipment is inspected and the Code Enforcement Officer determines that said equipment is not in good working condition, then the Code Enforcement Officer shall have the power to issue a written order requiring the owner to cease the use of said equipment until such time as said equipment passes inspection.
